Week 1 Reflection
This week was the start of senior project! This week we learned which workouts and exercises work best and which don’t. Also we learned what foods are good for muscle gain and looked into meal plans. We tried to make a sample meal plan that would work for us with 3 meals and snacks. We also learned about the 5 components of fitness. We used what we learned to help find workouts targeted to these. I liked what we were doing this week. I enjoyed being able to workout and then being able to also go and do some research to learn how specific workouts help certain muscles and to learn about the effect nutrition can have on muscles gain. Our project has gone how we have expected it with no surprises except a trip to starbucks. Things have been on track and we have planned for the whole week. We will benefit from these weeks activities because the workouts will be altered after for the upcoming week and we will have gotten rid of things we found didn’t work. An example of this is we will be starting the week with a lower body workout because we found that doing it the day before games was not the best idea since we were most sore from that workout. Also we will be able to have more targeted workouts. Working out helps us achieve our goal because our goal is to create a workout plan and by working out and learning which exercises work and getting rid of the ones that don’t. Our research also helps us find workouts that target each of the 5 components of fitness. This week we will use what we have learned to start making our workout plan and continue to research. I am looking forward to our work this upcoming week!
